XPeng Maintenance in Saudi Arabia — G6, G9, P7 & X9 Service Guide (2026)

XPeng has quickly become one of the most talked-about Chinese EV brands in Saudi Arabia, with the G6 and G9 SUVs, the P7 sedan and the X9 MPV appearing on Saudi roads in growing numbers. But as with most newer Chinese brands, official service coverage in the Kingdom is still thin — and owners end up asking the same three questions: who can service it, is the warranty valid here, and where do spare parts come from? This guide answers all three.

Know your platform first. Newer XPeng models — the G6, G9, X9 and recent P7 versions — are built on an 800-volt architecture with silicon-carbide components, making them among the fastest-charging EVs sold in the Kingdom: roughly 10-80% in about 20 minutes on a suitable DC fast charger. The maintenance implication is just as important as the convenience: the high-voltage system operates at higher voltages than most EVs on the road, so any HV work — battery, drive unit, charging port — must be done by technicians trained and equipped for it. This is not a general-workshop job.

The G6 is the most common XPeng in Saudi Arabia. Its main maintenance theme is battery care in Saudi heat: high summer temperatures accelerate battery aging, so we recommend an annual battery health check, keeping daily charging at 80%, and reserving 100% charges for long trips. Note that battery chemistry varies by trim and model year — LFP packs actually benefit from an occasional full charge to calibrate the battery management system, while NMC packs prefer staying in the middle of the range. A specialist can tell you which one your car has and set the right charging habit.

The G9 is the flagship SUV. Higher trims come with air suspension, which should be inspected around every 20,000 km, and the dual-motor AWD versions are heavy — inspect brakes and tires every 10,000 km. One EV-specific note: because regenerative braking does most of the daily stopping, brake pads wear slowly but discs can corrode from underuse, especially on cars parked through the summer. A brake service that cleans and exercises the calipers matters more than pad replacement on these cars.

The P7 is the sport sedan of the lineup. Its low ride height deserves an underbody inspection if you regularly cross speed bumps or unpaved parking entrances, and its instant torque wears the rear tires noticeably faster — rotate every 8,000-10,000 km to even it out.

The X9 is the 7-seat family MPV, and it has one system unique in this class: rear-wheel steering, which should be included in any alignment or suspension check. Family duty in Saudi dust and heat also means the cabin AC filter needs replacement every 15,000 km — the AC is the biggest single battery drain in the Kingdom, and a clogged filter makes it work harder.

Software is half the car with XPeng. The XOS interface and the XNGP driver-assist system receive regular updates, but some updates need a connection to XPeng servers in China, which can fail from Saudi Arabia. EVS handles manual firmware updates, Saudi map loading and Arabic interface localisation. Just as important: XNGP relies on calibrated cameras and radar, so after any windshield replacement or body repair, the sensors need recalibration — skipping it degrades the driver-assist features silently.

Spare parts availability is better than most owners expect, with a caveat. Consumables — filters, brake pads, tires, 12V batteries — are available locally. Body panels and high-voltage components typically need to be ordered, with lead times measured in weeks, so plan ahead rather than waiting for a failure. EVS keeps common wear items in stock and sources genuine XPeng parts; see our EV parts prices guide for Saudi Arabia for what typical items cost.

Warranty is the question that changes the maths. Many XPeng vehicles in the Kingdom arrived through parallel import, which usually means the factory warranty is not valid locally — regardless of what the original paperwork says. Ask for written proof of Saudi coverage before you buy. If your car has no valid local warranty, EVS Extended Warranty plans are available for XPeng in 1, 2 and 3 year terms, covering the high-voltage battery, motor and drivetrain, and the charging system — enrollment starts with a comprehensive inspection. FAQ — Quick answers:

Is there an XPeng service center in Saudi Arabia? There is no official XPeng network in the Kingdom yet, but EVS Riyadh services the G6, G9, P7 and X9 with technicians trained on XPeng's XNGP and XOS systems and equipment that reads the brand's fault codes.

Does an imported XPeng have a valid warranty in Saudi Arabia? Usually not — most arrived via parallel import, so factory coverage doesn't apply locally. EVS Extended Warranty plans in 1, 2 and 3 year terms cover the high-voltage battery, motor, drivetrain and charging system after an inspection.

When does XNGP need recalibration? After any windshield replacement or front-end body repair. XNGP relies on calibrated cameras and radar — skipping calibration quietly degrades the driver-assist features without a warning light.

At EVS Riyadh, our technicians are trained on XPeng's XNGP and XOS systems and our diagnostic equipment reads the brand's fault codes. We handle battery service, suspension, brakes, software and calibration for the G6, G9, P7 and X9.
